Hindus are being attacked in diverse places: In Toronto, New York, Leicester, UK and just in last few days several cases, in their temples in India during a major 10-day religious festival, honouring the Divine Mother Deity. Add to these – here’s a shocker for you – in Trinidad, yes, Trinidad, where Indians are marginalized and brutalized, especially the Hindus. (I immigrated from Guyana since 1969 for the very same reason.) Then, there is the criminally atrocious manner in which Hindus women especially and other minorities are treated in Pakistan.
So, presented below are three reports as evidence to back my claims in the latter three cases.
In India, especially over the last few days Muslim men/youths were invading Hindu temples for any of ogling and taking pictures of the Hindu women performing a sacred “Garba” dance to the Divine Mother Deity, and/or to create a conflict and have it publicized where, as some ‘Secularist’ media in India have been doing, criticizing the Hindus for being intolerant and not allowing the Muslims in, as if any non-Muslim would be allowed to enter a mosque and do the same. https://www.hindustantimes. com/india-news/14-muslims- held-in-mp-within-a-week-for- entering-garba-venues- 101664821773552.html
In Trinidad, two Hindu temples were broken into. In one case (Sep 28) the murti – consecrated image of the Divine Mother (Deity/Goddess) – was vandalized and graffiti in large red letters were written on the outer front wall: “Read Exodus 20:3-4’”. In the other case (Sep 22) the murties were vandalized, including undressing them. In Pakistan, two cases of gang rapes of an older Hindu woman and a minor Hindu girl were perpetrated and reported two days apart. October 3/22 report states:
In Pakistan, Muslim landlord strips Hindu woman worker naked, hangs her upside down, beats her, rapes with henchmen
In the second, October 5/22 report states:
Hindus Under Attack in Pakistan: 15-year-old Hindu girl abducted, gang-raped by Muslim duo, dumped on road 15-year-old Hindu girl abducted, gang-raped by Muslim duo, dumped on road
I do hope these incidents would cause the Toronto Star to have a more objective and fair understanding of the anti-Hindu sentiments my Hindu community faces in diverse places.
