Starting March 8, Caribbean Airlines will commence non-stop service between Timehri and Houston Airports and between Piarco and Houston airports. The airline will operate twice weekly service. This news was announced by Aviation reports earlier in the week.
The airline will operate twice-weekly flights to Houston — Tuesdays are nonstop from Port of Spain (POS), while flights go via Guyana on Wednesdays. Connections can be made from Houston via Trinidad.
Tickets are available for booking on caribbean-airlines.com with prices starting at US$345 one way. Houston is Caribbean Airlines’ fifth US destination and flights will be operated by the airline’s brand new 737-8 Max aircraft.
Houston is CAL’s fifth destination in USA following NYC and Florida. Caribbean Airlines hopes to tap into Guyana’s energy sector by shuttling workers and investors between Houston and Georgetown. Several American energy companies operating out of Houston have offices in Guyana.
